Brutal, sculptural, textured.
Basalt is the darker side of Otts & Kulcha. Cratered textures and metallic patinas, from Space Oddity to Pelagic and shapes such as Voidforms, evoke monuments, and otherworldly terrain. These pieces are more about presence than function, carrying the weight of ceremony, architecture, astronomy and more.
Anchored by the Egg, a centerpiece form and touchstone for the Space Oddity patina, the Basalt line moves between objects that feel intimate (candles, vases) and those that verge on monumental. Matte blacks, scorched bronze, and cratered voids define a vocabulary that is as mercurial as it is commanding.
Basalt is louche, expressive, and uncompromising: objects that feel more like relics than vessels.
