At Otts & Kulcha, every piece - from sculptural ceramics to candles and diffusers - is made to be lived with, enjoyed, and kept for years to come. We choose materials for their integrity, work each surface by hand, and finish every object to meet both our aesthetic and safety standards. This page outlines the materials we use, how to care for them, and the values that guide our making.

 

Ceramics

Our ceramics are made from high-fire porcelain or stoneware, finished with lead-free, non-toxic glazes. Select pieces are food-safe, hand-washing recommended. Designed for longevity, reusability, and enduring beauty.

Handling Note
Some pieces feature sculptural or textured surfaces, but every one is carefully polished, and tested by hand to ensure it’s safe to touch. Bases are smoothed and, where appropriate, fitted with felt or cork pads to protect surfaces. To protect both you and the work, please enjoy each piece as intended and avoid pressing textured areas against skin or delicate fabrics.

Candles & Diffusers

Our candles are poured in a toxin-free, cruelty-free beeswax blend and paired with clean fragrance oils. Vessels are designed for reuse: once your candle is finished, simply clean and repurpose it as a container, planter, or display piece. Enquire for refill services.

Packaging

We package Otts & Kulcha pieces to arrive safely and beautifully. Whenever possible, we use uncoated kraft gift boxes, tissue paper, and biodegradable or reusable packing materials such as compostable peanuts. We also reuse clean, protective materials from incoming shipments when it makes sense: reducing waste without compromising presentation. Our goal is to balance the joy of unboxing with a mindful approach to resources.
